New York: Chaos and Calm in One Place

Two weeks ago we took a much anticipated trip to New York City. Jill arranged a masterful combination of flights, hotel, and sufficient time to see the city. This trip further unpacked our shared passion for travel to new places. #grateful #loveyou

New York City thrives on an exquisite, rhythmic tension—a continuous dance between absolute chaos and profound calm. Our seven-day journey was defined by this exact duality. One hour we were fully submerged in the electric current of Times Square, navigating the sensory overload of Canal Street shopping, and absorbing the brilliant neon roar of Broadway. The next, we found ourselves suspended in moments of pure serenity: catching a quiet dusk breeze at the Top of the Rock and Empire State Building, walking the peaceful elevation of the High Line, wandering the historic halls of The MET, and slowing down over morning coffee and fresh, perfect bagels from Pop Up Bagels. It is a city that demands everything from your senses, only to offer the perfect, quiet sanctuary right when you need it.

And how could I forget - we happened to be in the city on the night of the Knicks historic defeat of the Spurs in Game 5 to clench the World Championship! The energy that night was electric!
