Morning Miles: Maui, Hawaii
Before the holiday heat settled over the island, I set out for a morning run heading south toward Kanahena. The route shifts between two distinct worlds: the manicured palm groves of Wailea resort paths giving way to the raw, jagged black lava fields of South Maui.
The Route
Distance: ~10.4 Miles (Out & Back)
Terrain: Coastal pavement transitioning into exposed volcanic corridors
Pacing & Elevation: Rolling coast and undulating turns, balances a steady pace against the rising heat and humidity of the morning.
Where Clarity Happens
In a culture that constantly glorifies hustle, continuous input, and high-frequency execution, moments like these reinforce a truth: high performance comes from the right combination of stress and rest.
